歐冠決賽利物浦埃及猛將薩拉赫(Mohamed Salah)因受傷提前下場，結果傷勢比想像中更嚴重，根據許多外媒報導，薩拉赫應該是肩膀脫臼，有可能無緣世界盃。

埃及薩拉赫在歐冠決賽因一次與對手碰撞倒地，雖然薩拉赫想要繼續撐，但最終31分鐘換下場，換下場後利物浦攻勢銳減，最終利物浦1比3敗給皇馬，讓皇馬拿下歐冠三連霸。

賽後利物浦總教練克洛普(Jürgen Klopp)回應薩拉赫傷勢，表示：「薩拉赫在醫院接受X光檢驗，那是鎖骨或肩傷，情況看來不太好。」

不過埃及足總反而給出不同答案，表示薩拉赫經過X光檢驗後情況樂觀，距離世界盃開踢只剩18天，尤其薩拉赫是埃及的主力，埃及若沒有薩拉赫，要在小組出線難度頗高。

埃及睽違28年再闖世界盃，他們首戰將於6月15日對戰烏拉圭，而埃及6月1日與6日還要與哥倫比亞、比利時進行友誼賽。
